How to Clean Eufy Robovac Correctly (All Models)

Eufy produces top-of-the-line robovacs including the 11S, 30C, and the 15C MAX. As great as they all are, however, you need to clean them on a regular basis.

If you are a Eufy robovac owner, take the time to learn how to clean a Eufy robovac, including its filter, swivel wheel, brushes, and sensors. By taking care of your robot, it will in turn take care of your house.

How to Clean Eufy Robovac

Before cleaning your Eufy robovac, you should turn it off. To do this, flip the robot over and press the 0 button on the power button. Your Eufy robovac is now turned off.

Now you can begin to clean your Eufy robovac.

1. How to clean Eufy robovac non-washable filter

Here’s how to clean the non-washable filter of your Eufy robovac:

  1. Press the button on the dust collector and ploy it out from the robot.
  2. Open and empty the dust collector if it is full.
  3. Remove the filter by lifting it up from the dust collector.
  4. Slap the filter against a trash can to work the dirt loose.
  5. Do not wash the filter with water and do not get it wet.
  6. Place the filter back into the dust collector.

Ideally, you should clean the non-washable filter once every week and replace it every 2 months. You should empty the dust collector after each use to allow the Eufy robovac to run optimally.

If you have pets, you may need to clean the non-washable filter more frequently.

Remember, you cannot wash the Eufy robovac filter with water. There is a reason why it is called a “non-washable filter”. Slapping it against a trash can is more than enough to work the dirt loose.

Important note:

Eufy roboVac X8 series’ dust collector inlet does not have a divider.

In this situation, the dirt particles inside the dust collector may easily roll from the dust collector inlet to the roller brush mouth and cause dust particles to fall through the dust collector opening.

If you own a Eufy RoboVac X8 or X8 Hybrid, hold the RoboVac at a leveled position or with the dust collector’s inlet opening facing up to prevent dust particles from falling out of the dust collector.

2. How to clean Eufy robovac swivel wheel

If your Eufy robovac is no longer turning around like it should, cleaning the swivel wheel can help. Here’s how to clean the Eufy robovac swivel wheel:

  1. Flip your Eufy robovac over on a soft surface.
  2. To remove the swivel wheel from the Eufy robovac, you can just grab the swivel wheel and pull it out, but if it gives you trouble, you can also use a flathead screwdriver to pry it out.
  3. Remove any string or hair that might be tangled up in the wheel.
  4. You can also clean the swivel wheel with water, just be sure to leave it completely dry before you put it back in.
  5. When you’re done, just push the swivel wheel back into the bottom of the Eufy robovac. It should click into place.

And that’s it! Your Eufy robovac should be ready for its next cleaning task.

It is recommended to clean the Eufy robovac swivel wheel once every month to keep it moving smoothly as it should. If you have pets, you may need to clean the swivel wheel more frequently.

  4. Also, clean the bristles of the rolling brush to pull any lint or hair that is stuck using the provided tool.
  5. Finally, do not forget to clean the ends of the rolling brush. Debris can get stuck in the ends of the rolling brush and you want to make sure that you clear everything out.
  6. Reinsert the rolling brush by putting the square side into its square hole first, and then put the second side down.

Here’s how to clean the bumper and the drop sensors on your Eufy robovac:

  1. Start by cleaning the bumper with a dry cloth.
  2. Flip the robot over. You need to clean the two charging contacts and three drop sensors at the bottom of the robot.
  3. Clean them with a dry cloth only. Do not use any liquids to clean the Eufy robovac charging contacts and drop sensors.
