Two of the most popular robot vacuums from Eufy are the RoboVac 25C and 11S. Both have similar prices and features. So, what is the difference between Eufy RoboVac 25C and 11S?
The biggest difference between the Eufy RoboVac 25C and 11S is Wi-Fi connectivity. Unlike the 11S, the 25C is Wi-Fi enabled and allows you to control the robot via smartphone. The Eufy RoboVac 25C also has a slightly stronger suction power at 1500 Pa compared to 11S’ 1300 Pa.
In this post, I will compare the Eufy RoboVac 25C vs. 11S to help you decide which robot vacuum is more suitable for you. Since both are similar, don’t expect plenty of differences between them.
Eufy RoboVac 25C vs. 11S Comparison
Unlike most comparisons that list out unimportant metrics, I am going to make this comparison short and to the point. I am going to compare both the robot's navigation and cleaning performance only.
Eufy RoboVac 25C navigation
Because the Eufy RoboVac 25C is Wi-Fi enabled, it is able to map your house and move in an organized manner. However, you need to install the EufyHome app and connect your robot to your Wi-Fi network first.
Once connected to your smartphone, you can set a cleaning schedule for your robot. For example, I programmed my Eufy RoboVac 25C to start each evening at 8 PM. I love how I don't have to think about it.
It moves off its charger automatically, cleans around the house, getting close to the walls and then docks itself when it's finished. I dump the dust/hair each morning and keep an eye on the filters.
As with most robot vacuums, there will be some instances where it can drop out of the Wi-Fi network. Luckily, all you have to do is perform a quick Wi-Fi troubleshooting and your robot is good to go!
Eufy RoboVac 11S navigation
The Eufy RoboVac 11S utilizes a random pattern to move around when cleaning. As a result, the robot does not pick up every single debris on a single pass, but with repeated movement over the same area, it does pick up most debris eventually. Just be patient and let the robot do its thing.
When I first turned on the Eufy RoboVac 11S, I was slightly disappointed because it bumped into everything like a drunk teenager that had one beer too many. I ended up emptying the bin 8 times on that initial run, much to my horror. I thought to myself, “where did all this filth come from?”
If you’re considering the Eufy RoboVac 11S, don’t worry. It would run around bumping into everything at first, but will eventually be able to navigate your house with ease, albeit in a random pattern.
The Eufy RoboVac 11S has gotten smarter since then. Re-engineered to be the slimmest RoboVac (2.85'') yet, it is able to make it back to its dock and avoid getting stuck under furniture.
As far as cleaning edges go, the Eufy RoboVac 11S has a padding around its body which allows it to approach a lot of edges head on. The Eufy RoboVac 11S also does a lot of tiny back-and-forth movements against the edges of a room which is especially effective for cleaning them.
Eufy RoboVac 25C cleaning performance
Equipped with the BoostIQ Technology, the Eufy RoboVac 25C is able to adapt its power depending on whether it’s cleaning your floors or carpets. If you turn on this technology, the Eufy RoboVac 25C will use its sensors to determine where it’s located in your home and what kind of surface it’s located on.
The Eufy RoboVac 25C is equipped with four different cleaning modes. The quick-clean mode takes about 30 minutes and is perfect for day-to-day use. Whenever a room needs a quick clean, use this mode.
Next, the auto mode is the best when you want the robot to cover the entire house. Just turn it on and let the Eufy RoboVac 25C do its job. If you turn on the edge mode, the robot will spend 20 minutes going right next to the walls, cleaning the edges and leaving them spotless.
Last but not least, the spot mode is perfect for a specific area of dirt. For example, you can use the spot mode if there is a carpet stain that requires more attention. It takes about two minutes.
Eufy RoboVac 11S cleaning performance
Equipped with the BoostIQ Technology, the Eufy RoboVac 11S is able to adapt its power depending on whether it’s cleaning your floors or carpets. If you turn on this technology, the Eufy RoboVac 11S will use its sensors to determine where it’s located in your home and what kind of surface it’s located on.
But what sets the Eufy RoboVac 11S apart is its low noise level. I like the fact that it is no louder than a microwave. Sometimes, a robot vacuum is too loud and annoys me. I prefer a quiet one.
Despite the quiet noise, however, the Eufy RoboVac 11S was able to pick up pet hair and short fur effectively. It collected most of the pet hair laying around the house and deposited it into the dustbin.
I also experimented with human hair. The Eufy RoboVac 11S was able to pick up all of the hair, but most of the hair was not pulled into the dustbin. Instead, the hair got tangled around the side brushes and the brush roll.
That was my only complaint. If you have plenty of furry pets around the house, you may want to consider a reliable robot vacuum without a brush roller, so the hair won’t get tangled inside the robot.
Final verdict
WINNER: Eufy RoboVac 11S
- Simpler to use (no Wi-Fi)
- Not louder than a microwave
- Affordable
While the Eufy RoboVac25C is Wi-Fi enabled, I prefer the Eufy RoboVac 11S because it is easier to use (just press a button) and it is quieter (not louder than a microwave). And the best part is, the price is inexpensive. For a reliable robot vacuum, you only need to spend less than $200.
However, not everyone wants a simple robot vacuum without Wi-Fi. If you want to enjoy the benefits of a robot vacuum that can be controlled via smartphone, then go for the Eufy RoboVac 25C.
