The Wyze cordless vacuum is designed to pick up dirt and debris from bare floors and short-pile carpets, but sometimes, the rolling brush may stop spinning. So, why is your Wyze cordless vacuum brush not spinning?

Your Wyze cordless vacuum brush is not spinning because hair and debris have tangled around the rolling brush. Remove the rolling brush and carefully break up any hair and debris with a razor blace or with your hands. Remove hair and debris from the rolling brush end cap too.

If all else fails, you can always contact Wyze support because this issue is warranted. In this article, I will show you how to fix a Wyze cordless vacuum brush that is not spinning properly.

How to Fix Wyze Cordless Vacuum Brush Not Spinning

A Wyze cordless vacuum brush should spin freely and the machine should suck dirt and debris effortlessly. If your Wyze cordless vacuum brush is not spinning properly, please do the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Remove hair and debris from the brush

Press the power button to turn off your Wyze cordless vacuum and unplug it. Push the brush release button and remove the rolling brush. Run a razor blade down the groove of the brush bar to break up any hair and debris with your hands. Clean the brush and reassemble the brush tool.

2. Remove hair and debris from the brush ends

If the Wyze cordless vacuum lights turn on but the rolling brush is not spinning, there may be a TON of hair clogging up the inside of the end piece. Upon removing the cap I discovered that there was hair and dirt absolutely PACKED under it. I’m not sure how hair and dirt entered this area but there it was and it was nasty.

There is a tiny bearing under the cap and then an open space that receives part of the cap. The hair and dirt were so tightly packed that it had become almost a solid mass. Removal required scraping with a small blade.

Pull out the brush part and take off that cap. Somehow there was a bunch of hair tangled around that little metal piece. Pull everything out and the brush should spin normally again.

3. Carefully inspect other components

Check that the floor brush is firmly inserted into the main body. Additionally, check if there is anything physically broken on the floor brush that could also cause a clog. Ideally, you would want the Wyze cordless vacuum to be only used on bare floors and carpets with short and firm textures.

Remember, it’s important to clean the HEPA filter and empty the dust cup regularly. By doing so, your Wyze cordless vacuum will continue running smoothly and effectively for a very long time.

4. Contact Wyze support

If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting steps and the Wyze cordless vacuum brush is still not spinning, then please contact Wyze support. Fortunately, this issue is warranted by Wyze.

Final Words

Now you know why a Wyze cordless vacuum brush is not spinning. By taking the time to remove tangled hair and clogged debris from in and around the brush, it should spin again in no time at all.
