In this article, let’s talk about how to keep your Wyze cordless vacuum running smoothly and effectively. It’s important to clean the HEPA filter and empty the dust cup regularly.

1. How to empty Wyze cordless vacuum dust cup

To empty the dust cup, hold the Wyze cordless vacuum over a trash bin. Press the release button located in the handguard (near the power button). The dust cup cover will drop open and release all the collected debris. Once the dust cup is empty, snap the cover back into place.

It is recommended to wipe the inside of the dust cup once every week to keep it free of dust residue. Use a dry, microfiber cloth to wipe the inside of the dust cup. You can also wash the inside of the dust cup with running water. Just be sure to let the dust cup air dry before reinstalling.

2. How to clean Wyze cordless vacuum HEPA filter

There are two ways to clean the Wyze cordless vacuum HEPA filter.

The first is to simply turn the filter brush knob on the bottom of your vacuum’s dust cup. Turning this knob regularly will scrape dust buildup off your filter and resume full suction power immediately.

The second method is a more thorough method.

Remove the dust cup from the vacuum. Slide the release key to the left and the dust cup should detach entirely. Pull the filter out of the filter housing. Take hold of the handle and pull. Then, with the filter removed, you can take the filter housing out of the dust cup by rotating it counterclockwise.

Tap any debris out of the filter housing, rinse it with clean water, and let it dry before reinstalling into the dust cup. Then, return the filter back into the filter housing and reinstall the dust cup to the main unit.

3. How to clean Wyze cordless vacuum rolling brush tool

To clean the brush tool, push the brush release button and remove the rolling brush. Then, run a razor blade down the groove of the brush bar to break up any hair and debris. Clean the brush and reassemble the brush tool. Not cleaning the rolling brush tool regularly will cause it to not spin properly.

4. Cleaning Wyze cordless vacuum after vacuuming a wet surface

If you vacuum over a wet surface, turn off the Wyze cordless vacuum’s power immediately and unplug it from power. Dry the bin, filter assembly parts, and the suction port. After all parts are completely dry, reassemble the vacuum and start it. If the vacuum fails to work as expected, please contact our support team
