In terms of mapping, the Eufy RoboVac X8 Pro is definitely better than the previous iterations of Eufy robovacs, which have a tendency to get stuck in certain rooms. The laser guidance on this robot makes a map, which allows you to clean specific areas, and even leaves a nice pattern on the carpet.

Picks up dirt from carpets very well
For a robovac that is not ultra expensive, the Eufy RoboVac G40 Hybrid cleans carpet incredibly well. I have kids running around the house who leave food crumbs on area rugs, and this little thing helps me pick dirt up.
On test, the Eufy G40 Hybrid impressed with its suction power on both carpets and hard floors. It collected fine dust, cookie crumbs and larger debris, including cereal, with ease, even on the lowest power setting.

The only downsides of not having a camera is that you cannot set virtual boundaries (but you can use boundary strips), you can create a cleaning route or path, and you cannot choose a specific area for cleaning.

The robovac is quiet enough to run while you are sleeping, yet powerful enough to pick up a dime off the floor. Just remember to clear items off the floor before you go to bed, especially phone cords and chargers.
However, because this robotvac does not have mapping technology, the cleaning pattern doesn’t always look logical. Sometimes it’ll go in straight lines, sometimes seek out the edges of a room, but it does result in the entire room being cleaned, even if it can take some time.
