Surfaces Best Suited for MOP & GLO

So, how do MOP & GLO work? MOP & GLO work by agitating the dirt and grime embedded deeply within floor surfaces. It also locks in the shine after cleaning to protect against daily recurring scratches.

As much as MOP & GLO seem to be a miracle worker when cleaning surfaces, the product is not safe to use on all surfaces as it may damage some. Here is a list of surfaces safe to use with MOP & GLO:

  • Sealed Tiles
  • Laminate floors
  • Hardwood floors
  • Marble floors
  • Vinyl floors
  • Natural stone floors
  • Linoleum floors
  • Sealed ceramic floors

MOP & GLO is not recommended for use in unsealed or worn-out wood surfaces and unsealed ceramic floor surfaces. Failure to adhere to this will result in a damaged surface.

How To Use MOP & GLO

Using MOP & GLO varies from one-floor type to another. However, general floor preparation is standard across all floor types. First, ensure that you have thoroughly swept or vacuumed your floor. Be sure to vacuum in a "U" shape pattern rather than straight. This is to avoid dust settling in the already cleaned areas.

Here is a guide on how to use MOP & GLO on different surfaces:

1. Sealed Tiles

First, ensure that your tiles are dry. MOP & GLO is a water-based product, so it won't work if your tiles are wet. Once your tiles are dry, you'll want to apply the product evenly.

You can do this with a sponge or a cloth, covering all of the tiles. Avoid getting the product on any other surfaces, as it can be difficult to remove. Once you've applied the product, let it sit for around 5 minutes. This will allow it to work into the tiles and break up any dirt or grime. After 5 minutes, you can start mopping.

Use a clean, damp mop head and ensure that you're not applying too much pressure. Once you've gone over the entire floor, you can let the mop head dry and put it away.

2. Laminate Floors

Using MOP & GLO on a laminate floor is slightly different from other floors because you must apply two to three thin layers of the product at a time. Patience is key when using MOP & GLO on laminate.

Dress your mop in the solution and mop the floor in small sections. Wring out your mop frequently to avoid getting too wet. Once you've mopped the entire floor, let it air dry, then repeat one more time.

That's it! You now have shiny, clean laminate floors.

3. Hardwood Floors

Before you begin, ensure that your floor is sealed. Next, dampen a mop in the solution and dry it. Lastly, mop your hardwood floors with the solution and avoid flooding them. Once you're finished, allow the solution to dry on your hardwood floors for a few minutes before walking on them or replacing furniture.

4. Marble Floors

Mop the floor with the dampened mop, working in small sections. Allow the MOP & GLO solution to dry on the Marble floor for a few minutes. Buff the floor with a dry cloth to bring up the shine. While buffing, avoid paper towels and clothes that might leave behind lint. It is recommended to use a microfiber cloth.

5. Vinyl Floors

Vinyl floors are porous by nature. It requires more amount of MOP & GLO in the solution. The process is, however, the same as on other floors. Dampen a mop or cloth in the solution and wipe the floor in a circular motion. Let the solution dry for about 15 minutes, then buff the floor with a dry cloth to bring up the shine.

6. Natural Stone Floors

First, mix MOP & GLO with water according to the instructions on the bottle. Next, dampen a mop or cloth in the solution and wring it out so that it's not dripping wet. You need it be damp but not drenched.

Finally, mop the floor with the solution, taking care to avoid sliding or scrubbing too hard, which could damage the stone's surface. Allow the floor to air dry or lightly buff with a clean, dry towel.

7. Linoleum Floors

Mix one part MOP & GLO with four parts water in a bucket.

Then, using a mop or sponge, apply the solution to the floor in a circular motion. Finally, allow the solution to dry for at least 30 minutes before walking on the floor. Applying too much water to the linoleum floor may result in bubbling. If you notice any bubbling, rub the area using a cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol.

8. Sealed Ceramic Floors

Use a damp mop to apply the cleaner to the floor, working in small sections. Be sure to rinse the mop often in the bucket of clean water. Then, once you've cleaned the entire floor, allow it to air dry completely.

Conclusion

If you have been wondering how MOP & GLO works and how often you should use the product, you are now in the know. Reading product information is very important to ensure safety and effective product usage.

Applying the product every week will ensure maximum results. However, more applications should be considered if you have pets and children. Here's to clean and shiny floors!
