Dyson Flashing Yellow Light? Here’s What to Do

Only the Dyson V6 can produce a yellow light on its battery light indicator. Newer Dyson models (V7 and upwards) does not produce a yellow light on its battery light indicator. Here’s what a yellow light mean:

Flashing yellow or amber light on battery during use - A flashing yellow or amber light when the Dyson V6 is in use means the battery has no power or there is a temporary fault (the battery is too hot or too cold).

Solid yellow or amber light on battery during use - A solid yellow or amber light when the Dyson V6 is in use means the battery is no longer working. You will need to immediately contact the Dyson helpline.

Solid yellow or amber light on battery during charging - A solid yellow or amber light when the Dyson V6 is charging means the device is not charging or there is a temporary fault (the battery is too hot or too cold).

If your Dyson’s battery light indicator is flashing yellow, please stop using the machine and let the battery rest because the battery is either too hot or too cold. If it’s too hot, let it cold down. On the other hand, move the machine to a warmer location if the battery is too cold to the touch.
