This is the Carbona Stain Devils Complete Set. It contains 9 different formula for each stain.

All stains are not created equal but a walk down the laundry aisle would have us all believing just that. For example, a cooking oil stain is different from a grass stain (causes green stains), which are both different from a coffee stain, and so on. Multi-purpose stain removers, unfortunately, only work on some stains.

Enter the Carbona Stain Devils. They take the guesswork out of stain removal. It’s called stain science and Carbona holds a proverbial PhD. In fact, they are the number one specialty stain removers because they offer 9 different formulas, each one specifically engineered to remove a different type of stain.

Not only are they dermatologically tested, they are also environmentally friendly as well as safe to use on washable and dry-clean fabrics (excluding silk, acetate, carpeting, or upholstery). In this article, you’ll learn how to use Carbona Stain Devils, including what to use on each type of stain.

Carbona Stain Devils Chart

The Carbona Stain Devils consist of 9 different variations, each one specifically engineered to remove a different type of stain. To make your life easier, here is the complete Carbona Stain Devils chart:

1. Stain Devils #1 – Nail Polish, Glue & Gum

A sticky and gooey stain is some of the most annoying stains. If things took a turn for the worse while gluing a project together or even chewing gum, you need Stain Devils #1. The Carbona Stain Devils Number One removes adhesives, candle wax, chewing gum, correction fluid, glue (with solvents), and nail polish.

2. Stain Devils #2 – Chocolate, Ketchup & Mustard

Everyone had sauce stains in their lifetime. Set the sauciest of stains straight by defeating them with Stain Devils #2. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Two removes barbecue sauce, chocolate, gravy, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, pizza, salsa, soy sauce, spices, steak sauce, and tomato sauce.

3. Stain Devils #3 – Ink, Marker & Crayon

We bet you intended for that ink for your paper rather than your clothes. Treat ink stains with Stain Devils #3. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Three removes ballpoint pen, crayon, felt tip pen, pencil, and roller ball ink.

Unfortunately, you cannot use Carbona Stain Devils Number Three to remove permanent ink. Permanent ink is permanent. The stain is there forever. There are, however, methods to remove the permanent ink.

4. Stain Devils #4 – Blood, Dairy & Ice Cream

Your day simply cannot be ruined from dairy, egg, or blood stains. Why? Because they won’t be stains for long when you use Stain Devils #4. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Four removes baby formula, blood, dairy products, egg white, eggs, ice cream, milk, and yogurt.

5. Stain Devils #5 – Fat & Cooking Oil

Chaos in the kitchen? Take care of fat-based stains with Stain Devils #5. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Five removes butter, carbon, cooking oil, grease, lard, margarine, olive oil, pesto, and toner.

6. Stain Devils #6 – Grass, Dirt & Make-Up

Make stubborn makeup or grass stains disappear with Stain Devils #6. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Six removes clay, dirt, food coloring, grass, lipstick, make-up, mascara, mud, pollen, rouge, and toothpaste.

7. Stain Devils #7 – Motor Oil, Tar & Lubricant

Dealing with a tough stain such as motor oil or shoe polish? Defeat it with an even tougher solution: Stain Devils #7. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Seven removes ash, diesel, floor wax, gasoline, grease, lotion, lubricant, machine oil, motor oil, oil, shoe polish, soot, suntan lotion, tar, tree sap, and Vaseline.

8. Stain Devils #8 – Coffee, Tea, Wine & Juice

Whether your coffee, wine, or juice spilled by accident or was the result of a tiny bit of clumsiness, treat the stain with Stain Devils #8. They are some of the most stubborn stains but you can easily remove them.

The Carbona Stain Devil Number Eight removes baby food, coffee, cola, fruit juice, iodine, jams or jellies, maple syrup, mold and mildew, nicotine, perfume, red wine, self tanner, urine, vegetables, and vomit.

9. Stain Devils #9 – Rust & Perspiration

Rust and deodorant stains (rust is notorious for causing orange stains, while deodorant causes white shirts to turn yellow) aren’t a hopeless battle. With Stain Devils #9, you’ll easily defeat them. The Carbona Stain Devils Number Nine removes deodorant, perspiration, and rust from fabrics and hard surfaces.

Carbona Stain Devils Instructions

Now that you’ve read the Carbona Stain Devils chart, you will need to use the formula that is right for your stain. Because Stain Devils are individually formulated, stain removal instructions may change from formula to formula. Follow the directions printed on the label of the bottle you are using.

Some are instant, some aren’t. Be patient. While the appropriate Stain Devils formula should completely remove your stain, the time required may vary from immediately to several minutes or more.

1. Remove as much of the stain as possible

Start by removing as much of the cause of the stain as possible. Before use, test for colorfastness on an inconspicuous area. Carbona Stain Devils will not remove instant or super glue. Do not dilute.

2. Removing small stains

To remove stains from washable and dry-clean fabrics, place an absorbent white cloth beneath the stain. Then, apply Carbona Stain Devils directly to the stain. Tap the stain with your finger, pushing it onto the cloth beneath it. Once finished, rinse the stained item with warm water.

Please make sure to place a cloth underneath the stain. Stains can spread while being treated, so you need somewhere for the stain to go when you remove it from the material you are treating.

3. Removing large stains

For large stains, submerge the entire stained item in a bowl filled with Carbona Stain Devils. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Gently rub the fabric together then rinse with warm water. You need to rinse out the formula because if you let the stained area dry out without rinsing, the stain can reappear.

Remember, it is very important to flush the stain with hot water after treating it with Carbona Stain Devils. The hotter the water, the faster the stain removal process. Repeat the steps, if necessary.

4. Treating combination stains

Combination stains can make stain removal a bit more complicated and may require more than one Stain Devils formula to remove it completely. But if you value your garment, it’s worth the extra time.

What Not to Do With Carbona Stain Devils

You should not use Carbona Stain Devils in the washing machine. The product is not a pre-wash. For best results, you need to treat each stain completely, before laundering and drying.

Carbona Stain Devils have not been tested for use on carpeting. However, there are many consumers who have used them on their carpeting with great success. Use Stain Devils on carpet at your own discretion.

Does Carbona Stain Devils Work?

As long as you use the correct formula for the appropriate type of stain, Carbona Stain Devils work like a charm. Each formula is specifically engineered to remove a different type of stain.

That being said, Carbona Stain Devils are formulated for removing stains not removing odor. Follow with regular laundering in the washing machine or hand wash to remove unwanted odors.
